  I am still like a little kid when it comes to Christmas. After all the first Christmas I celebrated I was 54 years old. Anyway my wife and I will be going to Virginia Beach to our youngest son family's house. Plus he has invited another X-JW family for Christmas. It should be alot of fun. The biggest problem we have is what gifts do you get for our three grandchildren ages 4-13 years old. Oh what fun when the biggest worry is that.

  With our son friends coming we may have a little apostate gathering for Christmas. Lol. For all those on this board my hope is you all have a peaceful and joyfull holiday. Still Totally ADD

  a close-by young brother, actually your basic, garden-variety, sexually-repressed, 40-year old virgin in the congregation has been charged with sexual misconduct with a minor.

  i've known this guy since he was a kid and he has always been strange, in a nerdy kind of way.

  he always wants to sound knowledgeable and wise when he comments at meetings, but i think he is bi-polar and depressed about who he is in life.

  I kind of believe the ancient God's were ancient aliens from another planet. I mean fiery flying chariots, wheels inside wheels spinning and ladders going up to heaven. All these make believe God's are nothing more but things the ancients saw but only explain them in ways they could understand. Still Totally ADD

  but regardless of where we think things may be going, pretty much everyone who's come through this site is an achiever who's done an amazing thing in one way or another even if they may not think about it.. so think about it!.

  Simon thank you for such encouragement. My wife and I were lucky, we left at the same time. At first our children shunned us but as we all know our youngest son and his family have left the cult. Being a born-in it was hardest on me but with time I quit beating myself up for taking so long to wake-up. My wife was great in helping me through this. Our life is so much better, we have made new friends, I was able to take classes to become a master gardener, my wife wrote a small book on useful weeds that grow in your yard, we are active in our local farmers market and finally we in our mid 60's have started a herbal tea business.

  I agree with you that everyone who have left a cult are not only survivors but are courageous in leaving a destructive cult and deserve a pat on their back. Congratulations to all of us. Thank you for this site Simon it has been a anchor to all of us. As a misquote from the wt. Cult "Stand tall be courageous be happy you have escape a destructive cult." Take care. Still Totally ADD

This president is a bully and the biggest liar and law breaker I have ever seen. Why do you even care about this guy? Don't you live in Canada? This is my country and I have the right to believe what I want to believe and say concerning my country not yours or any other country just mine. The far right religious nuts love trump because they feel he will bring on the end of the world. That's why they call him the chosen one. Does this not sound familiar?   let’s also not forget when they designed warwick, they spent money on expensive energy saving technology to save millions in the long run, years and decades in the future.

  Babylon The Great / World Empire of False Religion, do JW`s even preach that anymore ?

  when was that first preached , with the book babylon the great has fallen gods kingdom rules ,the 1970`s ?

  where they claimed that false religion had a fall in 1919 and that it was continuing to that day .

  however today we see not babylon the great that is falling ,but the jehovah`s witnesses religion that are on the decline ,selling off branches , kingdom halls in one place after another throughout the earth .. and only a couple of years ago they were predicting they would be needing thousands of kingdom halls to be built for the expected influx of new worshippers ?

  mrs nic' and i were 16 and 18 years old respectively when we first met at a circuit assembly in corby.

  three years later we were married.

  we've had a great time, we're very lucky but looking back i can see how crazy it is to put that pressure to marry on teenagers.
